Our imported silk rugs mainly come from the Persian city of Qum and the Turkish coastal town of Hereke. These two areas are world renowned for having some of the best silk available. Traditionally silk rugs are extremely high in knot count, giving them their trademark intricacy, with patterns ranging from exotic garden panels to colorful mosaic domes. While we don’t recommend putting a silk rug in a heavy traffic area like an entryway, they’re great for making a statement either as a wall-hanging or on the floor in a room with light foot traffic.
