PERSIAN & ORIENTAL ANTIQUE RUGS
We consider a rug antique if it’s over 50 years old. Because of the time it takes to meet this categorization, antique rugs are few and far between. Each one is completely one of a kind and impossible to replicate. You won’t find the same antique rug in two different stores.
Like most collectible items, determining the value of an antique rug comes down to its condition. Things like wearing, tearing, fading, staining, and other damage can seriously devalue an antique carpet. As such, we price our products depending on how we feel it has held up over the years. All our antique rugs are at least 50 years old and well cared for.
Popular antique rugs include those from the Persian regions of Sarouk, Hamadan, Farahan, Serapi, Bidjar, Shirvan, and Gashgai. As well as rugs from Kazakhstan, Turkey, China, and the Caucasus.
